Volapalooza

Last night I had the great opportunity of shooting Volapalooza, the free concert to students. Last night Asher Roth opened up, then Flogging Molly, and finally Passion Pit played. I had so much fun shooting last night, even though it was very exhausting carrying around 2 bodies. It was my first concert so let me know what you think.

Hey everyone,

There hasn't been anything new recently. The engagement shoot got canceled because they were too hung over to do anything, also the weather was on and off for the weekend. Tomorrow I am shooting volapalooza though. For those of you who dont know its a concert held here at Tennessee every year that is free for students. They get some good bands which is going to be really exciting. This year they are having Asher Roth, Flogging Molly and Passion Pit. I am kinda excited for Flogging Molly and really excited for Passion Pit.
I am super excited to be able to shoot these pretty well known bands and build my portfolio. I will have shots posted this weekend.

Almost done with the semester.

Yes its that time again, you get so close to the end you can taste it. I will be so much happier once this semester is over, I will have a ton of more time to do the things I want to do with my photography.

This saturday I am doing an engagement shoot with one of my Fraternity brothers and his Fiancee. I am really excited for this, they will be a lot of fun to work with. It is projecting rain but lets hope that it holds off for that day.
I have also found a want ad in the forum site Photography-on-the.net for a second shooter for weddings in Nashville for this summer. I am going to email her here shortly and see if she still needs an assistant.

College Paintball

Hey everyone,
I havnt been able to do much recently due to all the school work. This past weekend was the National College Paintball Tournament in Lakeland Florida, which I was able to play and take some pictures of. It was a good tournament even though we got 3rd place. I always have fun going to tournaments with the team.
Here are a couple from this weekend.









I still have some to process but they are not of us playing, just in the pits and getting ready. I will have those posted on flickr sometime shortly. Also we do not have another tournament for a while so I wont be able to shoot much more paintball until next year.

First Photo Shoot

Today I had the pleasure of shooting one of my friends, Kersty. This is my first photo shoot and I am pleased with the results. We both had a good time doing this. Since this being my first shoot I was experimenting with some different stuff and Kersty was being a champ and going a long with it all. Today was an very fun day, as well as a good experience with doing a studio style shoot. Here are a couple of my favorites from the shoot.

Back in knox and playing with the new camera

Well its good to be back in knox, even though it is raining. Its good to see allister as well. Who of course is going to be one of my first test subjects for testing out the camera.
Im so excited to be using this camera and for some of the opportunities coming up in the future with the photography. Hopefully I will be assisting a photographer with shooting some of the titans stuff. Then who knows.
Here are a couple of pictures pretty much straight out of the camera, im still learning about it and everything so they are not that great.





So those are just a few that I took with it. Im super excited to learn more about it. I have the photoshoot set up for this friday so that will be good to be able to use the studio light and the new camera and try to get a feel for that type of photography. Ill post a blog about it.

First post on the new blog.

Well everyone, this is my new photography blog. Here I will update it with what I am doing and what I am shooting, and stuff in the future. Ive never been a blogger but ill give it a shot.
Tomorrow I will be meeting a photographer by the name of Terry, I am buying his 1d mk iii off him and im super excited. I will be discussing possibilities of me being a second shooter with him or being an assistant or anything of that nature.

When I get back to knoxville I am going to do my first studio shoot with my friend Kersty. Im super excited to do this because it will be breaking in my new camera and ive been wanting to do a studio shoot with her for quite some time now.

Im really excited for the future, im doing an engagement shoot for my Fraternity brother Tyler and his fiancee Leanne in a few weekends. That will be very exciting.
